2 Days Rwanda Double Gorillas Experience
This four day safari will take you on an exploration of the beauty of the land of a thousand hills and the rich cultural and historical heritage of the Rwandese. Learn about the endangered wild mountain gorillas in their natural habitat. These leviathans are found only in Africa. Gorillas are a critically endangered, intelligent and charismatic species. No other wildlife encounter in Africa matches the astounding experience of spending time face to face with wild gorillas. This 4 day safari gives a double encounter with mountain gorillas through adventurous mountain forest hikes. You will crown the safari with a city tour of Kigali to the genocide memorial and other places of interest.
Includes: Accommodation, Meals, Rwanda park entry fees, 2 Gorilla permit and private 4×4 ground transportation with an English speaking driver guide and a complementary city tour.
Excludes: Beverages, tips and personal expenses.
SAFARI ITINERARY
Day 1: Arrival
Upon arrival at Kanombe international airport in Kigali Rwanda, your Stream driver guide will pick you and transfer you to the Volcanoes National Park in the North West driving through smooth winding roads in the land of a thousand hills as Rwanda is popularly referred to.
On arrival, you will check in at Mountain Gorilla View Lodge for Dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking Part I
After a hot breakfast your driver guide will transfer you to the park headquarters for a pre-Gorilla trekking briefing and allocation of a Gorilla group. Following trackers and rangers you will set off for the rain forest walking through the foothills of the Virunga which gives you breathtaking taking views of the surrounding areas. The search for traces of vegetation eaten by the gorillas, dung, hair, and the nests will go on until you finally locate a gorilla family you were allocated. You will have a full memorable hour with these amazing apes to watch the adults forage and groom each other, and the playful young gorillas entertain you all under the vigilant gaze of the great silverback whose soft brown eyes constantly sweep over his family.

Day 3: Gorilla Trekking Part II
Today we make our second gorilla trekking but this time we shall request for a different gorilla family. With trackers and guides we begin the day’s excursion that may last from two to eight hours. Enjoy every moment of the hike en route. The tracker leads you into the secret paths looking for a habituated gorilla family. The day’s tracking is normally guided by where the gorillas were left the previous day.
Return to your lodge and in the evening you might opt to visit the Batwa community.

Day 4: Kigali
After a relaxed breakfast you will be transferred back to Kigali to catch your outbound flight.
If time allows you will take a city tour of Kigali visiting places like the Gisozi genocide memorial site where you will learn and comprehend the history of genocide in Rwanda and other countries of the world, the Kimilonko Market one of the busiest and biggest market in the city, among others depending on the time of your departure flight.
