Uncover the marvel of this abundant region of Africa. From the renown Murchison falls NP aligned with the mighty River Nile, to the forest of Kibale the primate capital of the world the richly rewarding wildlife and flora of Queen Elizabeth NP, the much sought after wild Mountain Gorillas of Bwindi to lake Mburo NP and the chimpanzee sanctuary on lake Victoria.

Arrive Entebbe International Airport, you will be met by our driver/guide and transferred to your hotel. Depending on your time of arrival, go for a city tour, visit the money exchange centers. Transfer to your hotel for overnight.

We set off early morning for Murchison fall National Park. The 4 – 5 hour drive will take you through the districts of Bombo and Luwero the historic grounds of Uganda’s bush war in the 1980s breaking in Masindi town for lunch. Later proceed to the amazing Top of the Murchison falls.
The Top of the falls offers a great opportunity to view the mighty Nile forced into a seven meter gulch dropping about 150 feet hence forming the Murchison falls after which the park was formed. Later you will be driven to your overnight lodge and checked in.
Today you will rise with the early birds and after warming up with a cup of coffee or tea you will set off for your game drive looking out for the predators like the lions and hyenas. Other animals here include the African elephants, Rothschild giraffes, buffaloes, and hartebeest among many others.
Murchison Falls National Park is also a hub for birds with over 451 species recorded including the rare ones like the Shoe Billed stork. Return to your lodge for breakfast and after lunch transfer to the jetty where you will take a Nile Cruise up to the bottom of the falls. Along the way you will encounter schools of hippos, Nile crocodiles and a variety of water birds both indigenous and migrant species.
The Nile itself hosts one of Africa’s densest crocodile populations. Other animals like the elephants, buffaloes, waterbucks also frequent the river to cool off. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Today, after breakfast we drive south along the western escarpment overlooking Lake Albert to Kibale Forest National Park, arriving in the evening. Kibale forest is habitat to at least 13 primate species; these include the red colobus monkey, L’Hoest monkey, blue monkey, red-tailed monkey, olive baboon among others. Kibale is majorly famous for an opportunity to track habituated chimps in the ever green rainforest.
These charming apes are more closely related to humans than to any other living creature. You will arrive in Fort Portal town in the late afternoon and proceed to Kibale for dinner and overnight at Ndali Lodge.

Travel Time: 7 hours or more depending on the road conditions.
Soon after breakfast you will transfer to the park offices for pre-trek briefing by your ranger guide before setting out on the popular chimp trek. This will take 2 to 4 hours. With over 335bird species recorded in this virgin rainforest some of which are endemics of this region of the Albertine Rift valley, Kibale is a hot spot for birder.
For lovers of botany and butterfly watch the butterflies float through the vegetation. After lunch leave for Queen Elizabeth National Park, arriving in the evening as we drive through the Leopard Loop, looking for the rare leopards and the Giant Forest Hog.
The evening finds you at Mweya Safari Lodge, nestled on a peninsula overlooking the Rwenzori Mountains of the Moon, Kazinga Channel, Lake Edward and Lake George.
Meet the day before sunrise with hot coffee and tea as you head out on an early morning game drive. The game drive offers the chance to see lions at hunt, hyenas, Cape buffalo, Ugandan Kob, warthog, elephant, leopard, and waterbuck. Return to your accommodations for a relaxing lunch and a swim in the hotel’s pool. In the afternoon, explore the Kazinga Channel by boat for an opportunity to see a stunning variety of wildlife at the water. The 32 kilometers stretch that joins Lake Edward to Lake George is believed to hold the largest concentration of hippos in the entire world. Elephants, solitary buffaloes and waterbucks are among the animals normally sighted at the banks. On a lucky day lions and other predators are also sighted in the hideouts waiting to catch their prey as it goes for a drink at the channel.
The channel is also rich in bird life as thousands of birds are always at the channel both indigenous and migrant species that fly thousands of miles all the way from Europe and other parts of the world to escape the winter. Some of the bird species include the Martial Eagle, Black-rumpled Buttonquail, African Skimmer, Chapin’s Flycatcher, Pink backed Pelican, African Broadbill, Verreaux’s Eagle Owl, Black Bee-eater, White-tailed Lark, White-winged Warbler, Papyrus Gonolek, Papyrus Canary, Corncrake, Lesser and Greater Flamingo, Shoebill, Bar-tailed Godwit.

After breakfast, take a drive to the Ishasha region of Queen Elizabeth National Park, famous for its tree-climbing lions. A game drive in Ishasha takes us in search of the large cats as they lounge in the park’s trees; only in this region of East Africa are you likely to witness these incredible animals.
Other species in this area of the park include buffalo, topi, Uganda Kob, baboons, and leopards. Our drive continues as we head towards Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, arriving in time for dinner and an overnight stay at the Mutanda Lake Resort.

Travel time: 4 Hours
After breakfast we will meet the park rangers who will be our guides for the day, and then we will start the trek in search of the exquisite mountain gorillas of Uganda. Trekking can last between thirty minutes and eight hours, but once you discover the gorillas, you will be able to spend one unforgettable hour with them. Looking into the deep animated brown eyes of the gorillas is sure to be the most exciting wildlife encounter that Africa has to offer.
Gorilla trekking begins where the gorillas were last seen the previous day. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the midst of the Impenetrable Forest before returning to your accommodations. Back at the resort, relax by watching the magical motions of traditional Ugandan dances, or enjoy a cocktail by the campfire as you listen to the sounds of Bwindi.
Overnight stay at the Mutanda Lake Resort.

Depart after breakfast for Lake Mburo National Park. Along the way, we will travel through the abundant green hills fondly known as “Little Switzerland” and stop in the town of Mbarara for lunch. A game drive at sunset introduces you to the park’s wildlife, including zebra, Impala, Topi, and Cape Buffalo.
Dinner and Overnight at Mihingo Safari Lodge

Travel time: 5 Hours
After an early breakfast you will embark on the morning game drive for a chance to see the hyenas coming back to their dens, hippos walking back to the water and the recently reintroduced Rothschild giraffes roaming the park. Other animals here include buffaloes, zebras, impala and topi.
On a good day the rare sitatunga might also be seen. Return to the lodge for lunch and after lunch you might opt for a nature walk or boat ride on Lake Mburo. In the evening After drive to the observation post near the park headquarters to see animals at the natural salt lick.
Return to Mihingo Lodge for dinner and overnight.

Shortly after breakfast, we depart from the park and make the scenic drive towards Entebbe, stopping along the way for a picnic lunch. Upon arrival in Entebbe, a speedboat will be waiting at the shores of Lake Victoria to take us to the incredible Ngamba Island. Dedicated to protecting chimpanzees, the Ngamba Island Chimpanzee Sanctuary is home to orphaned or rescued primates. We’ll arrive in time for the afternoon feeding, when you will have the opportunity to hand-feed the young chimpanzees at the sanctuary. Afterwards, have dinner and an overnight stay and Ngamba Island Tented Camp.

The morning holds a hike in the forest with the island’s youthful chimpanzees. During this time, you may even have the opportunity to hold one of these playful primates–an exceptional experience for anyone! In the afternoon, we will depart from the island and end the incredible safari with a transfer to Entebbe airport for your departure flight.
