5 Days Gorilla Explorer Safari
Explore the depths of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, home to half of the remaining mountain gorillas on earth, and take in the adventure of Lake Mburo National Park, which offers zebra, hippo, Impala, and numerous bird species. From rainforest to savannah, this trip covers some of the most incredible sights Uganda has to see.

SAFARI ITINERARY
Day 1: Kampala and Bwindi Impenetrable
The adventure begins as we leave Kampala and drive south. During a brief stop at the world’s equator in Uganda, you will have a chance to take in local crafts. From there, we will continue on to Mbarara for lunch and make the journey through the remarkable green mountain country fondly known as “Little Switzerland.” Arrive at the Mahogany Springs for an evening dinner and an overnight stay.

Travel Time: 8-10 hours
Day 2: Bwindi Impenetrable
Enjoy an early breakfast before heading to the park headquarters to meet your park rangers who will serve as your guides for the day’s excursion. Your trek into the mountains may range from thirty minutes to eight hours, but once you meet the gorillas, you will be able to spend one full, unforgettable hour with them.
Gorilla tracking begins where the gorillas were found the previous day. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the great outdoors and return to your accommodations for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 3: Bwindi Impenetrable Forest and Kampala
A second breathtaking opportunity to visit the world’s few remaining mountain gorillas awaits you. With experienced Bwindi park rangers, we will track a different group of gorillas from the previous day. Along the way, we will enjoy a picnic lunch and the magnificence of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. Afterwards, return to your accommodations for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 4: Bwindi Impenetrable Forest and Lake Mburo National Park
Leaving Bwindi, we will journey to Lake Mburo National Park, stopping along the way for lunch in Mbarara. Enjoy an evening game drive in Lake Mburo National Park before continuing on to your accommodations Lake Mburo Mahingo Lodge or Mantana Lake Lodge Mburo.

Day 5: Lake Mburo and Kampala
Explore Lake Mburo National Park with a morning game drive. The park offers zebra, Impala, Topi, hippo, and a wide range of woodland bird species. After lunch, we will begin our scenic drive back to Kampala.
