SAFARI ITINERARY

These four days of adventure starts from your hotel where your driver guide will pick you from and embark on a driver to Murchison. Taking Bombo road you drive heading north stopping en route at the Ziwa Rhino sanctuary for an opportunity to track the White Rhino.

The White Rhinos are being reintroduced in Uganda after their extinction in the 70s. Proceed to Masindi for lunch and thereafter drive to the top of the falls. Here you will have an opportunity to view the mighty Nile forced into a seven meter gulch dropping about fifty meters hence forming the Murchison falls after which the park was formed.

Later you will be driven to your overnight lodge and checked in. Dinner and overnight at Paraa Safari Lodge.

Today you will rise with the early birds and after warming up with a cup of coffee or tea you will set off for your game drive looking out for the predators like the lions and hyenas. Other animals here include the African elephants, Rothschild giraffes, buffaloes, hartebeest among many others.

Murchison Falls National Park is also a hub for birds with over 451 species recorded including the rare ones like the Shoe Billed stork. Return to your lodge for breakfast and after lunch transfer to the jetty where you will take a Nile Cruise up to the bottom of the falls. Along the way you will encounter schools of hippos, Nile crocodiles and a variety of water birds both indigenous and migrant species.

Other animals like the elephants, buffaloes, waterbucks also frequent the river to cool off. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

We shall enjoy one more game drive this morning and after lunch we shall transfer to Budongo Forest and check in at Budongo Eco Lodge for dinner and overnight.

This morning we shall take a nature walk in Budongo forest led by a ranger guide. We shall lookout for primates like Black and White Colobus monkeys, Red-tailed monkeys, Grey-cheeked Mangabeys, and chimpanzees. Budongo forest is also a habitat for a variety of bird species some of which are endemics to this region.

Apart from the fauna, Budongo is also blessed with beautiful flora which includes a variety of tree species some in hundreds of years of existence.  Return to the lodge for lunch and after lunch drive back to Kampala where you will be dropped off.
